So a quick update on my dad.
His physical and speech therapy are going great. It seems like his cognitive and thought processes are getting better. And he has so much more mobility now also. He's still using the walker, but those days are numbered now. He got the cast off of his wrist a week or two ago but his doctor wants to make sure his wrist is fully healed before he's putting a lot of weight and pressure on it by using crutches. The one little bit of bad news right now is that he will be on crutches and won't be using his left leg for quite some time. His orthopedic surgeon said that due to the extensive damage and all of the hardware and repairing they did, they are in no hurry for dad to be using his leg. At his age if he were to get moving too soon before he's completely healed it could cause some serious issues later. The last estimate I heard was another 6+ weeks before he might be able to start putting weight on it. But he's doing his physical therapy to work on bending his knee and getting his flexibility back. I can't wait to see him walking again. It's so hard to see my formerly very active and energetic dad sitting around. But he has gotten really awesome with his walker. He can get around pretty good with it. Now we're just waiting for him to start walking again.

Photo Bomb!
Stella, our little junior pirate. :)
Arrrrrg!
I'm a pirate!
A neighboring farmer had a big pirate-themed party a month or so back. The boys loved the pony rides, but they loved the blow up bouncy house even more.
Evan on his first day of Preschool!!
I couldn't leave out Andrew and Stella, they were thrilled to take Evan to his first day of school.
She fell asleep on Grandpa's bed. :)
We celebrated Andrew's birthday at mom and dad's since dad wasn't really that mobile at the time.
He made out like a fat rat. :)
We made our first trip to the Orchard at the beginning of September.
As usual the boys had an amazing time. Stella had a pretty good time as well. :)
The corn pool is their favorite!
But the new big kid pedal tractors were a hit too.
The jumpy pillow.
Stella enjoyed a little breeze. :)
I love these boys so much!

Where does the time go?
I don't know where the time has gone but things sure have been going so fast around here.
Evan is in preschool and loving every minute. He doesn't even bat an eye at being dropped off every day. He happily gives me a hug and a kiss and says "Bye Mom!" With a huge smile on his face. And much to my surprise he hasn't had a single day that he wasn't on "Green" which just means that he's been good and hasn't had to be told too many times to follow directions. I am so glad that he listens to his teacher so much better than he listens at home. ;-P When he was a baby and we started him on baby foods, we quickly figured out that he couldn't have pears. They made him sick, so we figured he was allergic and we never tried them again. Any time after that if he had anything with pears in it he would get a little bit of an upset stomach and he'd end up with diaper rash. So we cut out everything with pears completely. After 2+ years of no pears I decided to test it out and see if he still couldn't have them, but thankfully he seems to have grown out of it! Yay! So now he just can't have raw milk, he can't digest the lactose and he can't have red dye, it makes him crazy! It's so nice to take one thing off of the list, even though his list wasn't that long to begin with.
Andrew is going through a horrible case of the terrible three's along with some middle-child syndrome. I struggle each day to get him to behave. It's so surprising that he's the one causing the most "problems" because he used to be the quiet and well-behaved one. But I know that he's adjusting to not being the youngest any more. So I'm trying to remind myself that he needs a little extra patience and love. He is still the same little smarty pants that he has always been.
Stella is just growing and changing by leaps and bounds. She is 5 months old now. She loves food, and eats three meals a day already. Breakfast is some stage 2 fruit and oatmeal mixed together, she'll usually nurse or take a bottle after that as well. Lunch is usually 1/2 to a whole stage 2 container of a veggie or a dinner and 1/2 a container of fruit. Dinner is 1/2 a stage 2 container of a dinner, 1/2 of a veggie, and 1/2 to a whole container of a fruit. Sometimes I mix things up and if I have some ripe bananas or if the boys have green beans or carrots with their dinner I'll cook some extra and run them through the baby food grinder. We have yet to find a food that she won't eat, which is awesome!
I'll try to post some pics of how the kids are doing.
