Being a Baby is Really Hard Work!!!

At dinner the other night Andrew went from awake and eating to asleep in less than 8 seconds. He napped while the rest of us ate. :p

He still has a Gerber Veggie Cheeto in on hand...poor, tired boy!

He was O-U-T!!!

He was able to nap pretty well until Evan was done eating. We tried to get him to play quietly in the living room but he shrieked because he saw one of the cats and that was that. But at least Andrew was able to sneak in a little 15 minute cat nap lol!

Summer Haircut

Before the haircut....he had shaggy "baby" hair

After!!!

His grown up big boy haircut kind of makes me sad...he's really not a baby anymore :(

The back, it's so short but so much easier to wash! :)

There's that cheeseball smile! Now if the rest of his teeth would just come in already he would really look like a big boy!!!

An afternoon at Grammy and Grampy's

Andrew the Burrito!

Evan climbing around in Daddy's "Cuck"

Just like Daddy...They were walking through the field trying to see where Grampy Larry was.

Crash and Burn

Whenever we're out at one of the farms all Evan does is run!

Still running.

We had so much fun spending the afternoon at Grammy and Grampy's. I was hoping to get some pictures of Evan riding in the tractor while they were planting but Grampy didn't get the memo that Evan wanted to ride! But Evan didn't care because he was too busy running around. But he slept good that night! :)

We tried a new babysitter...

You know the new sitter was a hit when he didn't even make it to his bed!!! Lol! We finally decided to try a new sitter since we can't always expect Grammy and Grampy to give up their Friday or Saturday nights for us to go out. So I called up my massage therapists daughter and had her watch the boys for a few hours so Josh and I could go out to eat for our anniversary. This is how we found Evan when Josh went in to check on him. I think Evan had a pretty good time with her! :D

Andrew is officially crawling :(

Over the span of about three weeks, Andrew has gone from not being able to do anything but roll from his belly to his back...to rolling...to army crawling...and now crawling! At this rate he'll be walking in a couple months. I'm not very happy that my little baby is growing up so dang fast! But it is pretty impressive to see how much he already annoys his big brother! :p

Andrew spends most of the morning playing on the floor. It hasn't taken him very long to figure out that there's two good ways to get toys; crawl to the toy bins OR crawl to your big brother and take his! Yes, Andrew really is stealing Evan's toys from him already. It's so funny because Evan will scream "MINE!" and pull the toy away, but he doesn't physically move away from Andrew. I've had to keep telling him to move and play somewhere else if he doesn't want to share that toy. Thankfully Andrew isn't old enough to protest, I just give him another toy and he's happy. But we'll see how long that lasts :D

The Boys' First Trip to the Zoo!!!

A really neat looking bird...I don't remember what it's called.

Evan being a cheeseball!

Andrew didn't really care about the animals.

The wallaby had a baby in her pouch!!

Tube-O-Jellyfish

The top fish was actually like the size of a very large dinner plate.

Keegan! He was about as thrilled as Andrew :D

"You're in the way mom!"

The same kind of bird as before...this one way just laying on the path. We were practically the first people to go through the bird sanctuary building so most of them were still out.

Fishes!

I don't really know if Andrew enjoyed the zoo, but Evan sure seemed to have a good time. The weather was perfect, nice and sunny but not too hot. I also got to try out my new jogging stroller, which maneuvered like a dream! Much easier than my regular tandem double stroller.

Since our zoo trip I've gone on a few walks and love how easy it is to push, even with about 55 pounds of boys in it :D I can't wait to actually go jogging with it!!! My goal for the next few weeks is to try to go for a walk at least three days a week, and then work my way up to every day. I have some serious baby weight to lose, so this stroller will be one my tools. The funny part is I'm actually considering getting a gym membership...I've never considered a gym membership before so this is a sure sign that I'm serious about losing my baby weight. But we'll see what I can talk Josh into!

Baby Shower!!

Since my cousin Jessie is also due in May and having a girl, we decided to throw one shower for both Katie and Jessie. I promised Katie that I wouldn't post any of these pictures on facebook...but this isn't facebook! :p

The two preggo ladies putting their bellies together!

Gotta love the cute little girly clothes!

These two are seriously like the cutest pregnant people ever!

Both Katie and Jessie made out like fat rats. There was plenty of cute girly stuff to go around. Including lots of cute little pink and purple outfits and some really cute bows! Now I'm just trying to be patient as I wait for little girl Husske to make her appearance!

Easter and more.

We had a busy Easter weekend. I took the boys grocery shopping Saturday...I hate doing that alone but Josh is busy putting the new field cultivator together. And of course Sunday was Easter so we spent the afternoon and evening at mom and dad's. The Easter Bunny stopped by Sunday morning, and the boys got lots of good stuff. Including way too much candy. Although Andrew really likes his puffs! Here are some pictures of Evan hunting for eggs.

Sunday the 11th was my wonderful Sister-in-Law Katie's baby shower. She and Tylor are expecting a girl in May, and I am so excited to finally be able to buy cute little girly stuff!! I'll do a separate blog on the shower later, along with some very cute belly pictures! :D

Today I had my friend Angie watch the boys in the morning so I could have a little "me" time. I did the grocery shopping-alone for once! I got an hour massage which was wonderful. I had originally planned on running cans and bottles to Ankeny but ran out of time. The good part was that Evan had a ton of fun at Angie's playing with all the other kids, he didn't even realize I'd even left. Andrew even took a nice morning nap. Angie couldn't see why Evan would get kicked out of daycare...that's funny because we couldn't either!!!!

So not only is today my last night of the bowling season, but it's also our three-year anniversary! I think Josh had hoped we could go out for dinner, but it's the last night of season which means it's the final position night. We have to go bowl our butts off to keep our rank, which right now is 4th! Granted that is out of 8 teams, but that means that four other teams are worse than we are!!!! So we're delaying our anniversary dinner for the weekend. But, it's ok because Josh and Larry just started planting today. So it all worked out perfect.

I've been really lazy with my housekeeping the last few days, so I'm going to be spending the rest of the week cleaning. But at least my grocery shopping is done. Other than dinner Saturday night I don't have any plans this weekend. So I'm going to try to get the boys outside as much as possible to play because Evan loves playing outside!

Here's some pictures of the boys that I've been meaning to post but haven't gotten done!

Andrew finally getting to play with the toy he got for Christmas from Great-Grandma Helen. He liked it alot! He kind of looked like he was boxing with it at one point.

Yup, there's the Husske in him!

Poor sick boy! He fell asleep during a nebulizer treatment.
