Grammy is...

Exhausting!!!! I got home from Columbus Sunday afternoon. And not five minutes after Sandy left I went back to the living room and found this. The poor kid didn't take a nap the whole time I was gone and it showed! He slept in the chair for an hour and fifteen minutes. :)

New hardware

So yesterday I got one of the greatest phone calls, Ames Silversmithing called to let me know that my new finger hardware that we ordered a couple weeks ago had come in!!! After admiring this ring style for years, and talking about wanting one for the last few months, I finally convinced Josh to start checking around with local jewelry stores to see if we could get one. None of the bigger retailers could get one, actually 75% of them didn't even know what I was talking about. Jared's was the only store we'd found that we could order them, but not the way we wanted. So we went to Ames Silversmithing. Not only could they get it for us, but they checked with a couple of their suppliers to get the best possible price. So I picked my ring up yesterday and I love it!!!

A little info on this ring. It is traditionally known as a rolling ring, Russian wedding ring, or a Trinity ring. The three bands are not connected to each other but cannot be taken apart. The reason why most people know it as a rolling ring is because you put your finger in the center of the three bands and when you push it down your finger the bands roll over one another. Some, or probably a majority of people, get this ring in three different colored metals. It's typically in white, yellow, and rose gold. However I don't like yellow or rose gold, I like sterling silver, white gold, and platinum. So my rings are all in white gold, but I wanted one band to be a diamond eternity band. All together the diamonds in the eternity band are a 1.07ct total weight.

When I first asked Josh about having this ring made, we said it would be a 5-year anniversary gift. Which technically isn't until April next year. But, then I remembered that Josh didn't get me an anniversary gift this year...or a mother's day gift...and he forgot about my birthday until the day before. And my ring happened to come in the day after my birthday, so I think it's a 3-in-1 gift. :)

When mom is away...

So, although I am not at home with the boys right now I still wanted to do a quick entry since I've been a very bad blogger lately.
I am in Columbus, Ohio for the 31 Gifts National Conference. (Which has been amazing so far and I'm having a fabulous time!) But the boys are obviously home with Josh and Sandy. :) I've already heard a little about the fun things they have been doing while I'm away, swimming in the little pool, playing outside in the backyard, and watching movies. Not really a whole lot different than what we usually do, but of course Grammy is there to spoil them so that makes it much more fun! Although I will admit, I am missing my boys like crazy! They may drive me nuts some times, but being away from them definitely reminds how often I get hugs and kisses every day! If this tells you anything about how much I miss them, I asked Josh to txt me pics of the boys last night. I never would have thought it could be so hard to be away from them for just a few days!
Ok, enough of that! As for conference, it's been such a great time! I've gotten to meet a lot of my upline team. When I first enrolled, Mandi was my sponsor, Gina Yokley was my Director, and Kristen Brininstool was my upline Executive Director. Mandi promoted to Director, and Gina also promoted to Executive Director since I started. So it's been amazing to meet all of the great and inspirational ladies. It'll be even more fun at the big awards banquet tonight when everyone who promoted this last year gets to walk across the stage and I think they get a dozen roses as well! (I'm hoping that'll be me next year!)

New Guilty Pleasure

I love food-obviously!!! But I have always, always loved tortilla chips and salsa. In middle school I know for a fact that I survived days on nothing but chips and salsa. I especially like salsa that is fresh. And lately I have been loving the Jack's line of salsa. I know they have it at Hy-Vee, not sure about other places. But it's great because it's chunky but the "sauce" is runny, I love it!! And I don't use normal tortilla chips. I have discovered the Tostito's Artisan tortilla chips and I have to say, they are amazing! But I don't know if eating a ton of chips and salsa every day is good for my diet lol!

Happy Fourth of July!

Well, we spent one night this weekend at the camper and enjoyed the fireworks. We hope to go back to the camper next weekend and stay a few nights. The boys love playing on the deck, and we love it too now that we have the baby gates up to keep them contained! And of course they love going for golf cart rides. We had a blast and can't wait to go back!
